Spring Loading Bean Contexts with ContextLoaderListener

Up to now we have seen, Connecting DAO to our spring mvc application. But in order get requests to OffersDAO.java class we need to give access of this class to the browser. By using ContextLoaderListener. We configured our OffersDao.java to dao-context.xml and then we have to configure dao-context.xml to web.xml.

dao-context.xml

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xmlns:context="http://www.springframework.org/schema/context"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans.xsd
http://www.springframework.org/schema/context http://www.springframework.org/schema/context/spring-context-3.2.xsd">
<context:annotation-config></context:annotation-config>
<context:component-scan
base-package="com.sourceforopensource.spring.web.dao">
</context:component-scan>
</beans>

web.xml

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<web-app xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee" xmlns:web="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_2_5.xsd"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_2_5.xsd"
id="WebApp_ID" version="2.5">

//to add extra configuration Use ContextLoaderListener and contextConfigLocation to add //path.

<listener>
<listener-class>org.springframework.web.context.ContextLoaderListener</listener-class>
</listener>

<context-param>
<param-name>contextConfigLocation</param-name>
<param-value>
classpath:com/sourceforopensource/spring/web/config/dao-context.xml
</param-value>
</context-param>

</web-app>
